Complete kicking match, still no red cards, Ronay Jussel just put us ahead with an impeccable header. 5 minutes to go.

This first clue I got was the league table on the BBC live text updated to show that we had three more points instead of the previous one! Still took a couple of minutes for the info to come through!

Roll on midnight UK time (whenever that is here) so I can see the highlights!

What do you mean I got it wrong!?

Brilliant result - yet another late goal, who said our players would tire?

4 games in 10 days - 9 points and a replay in the cup - impressive stuff! :banjmp: :banjmp: :banjmp:

Another excellent result and top 6 more or less confirmed. Not bad for a team playing every three or four days that: 5 games in 14 days and so far 9 points from our three league games and a replay in the cup. Onwards and upwards. Just ICT at the weekend now...and they're not playing like they were and will surely be rather deflated. A win there and they can't catch us before the split.

thought we were blown away for the first 20-25 minutes when Hearts were well on top without really looking like scoring. However we slowly came into it and second half always looked the more likely to score. Sponsors MoM was Dillon. I'd agree with that. Daly also did well at centreback. Gomis had his best game in yonks. Hearts...usual dirty bastards.

Pleased with the way this United team keep going, even when things aren't working. How many times this season have we scored late in the game?

Good result, scappy game, but pretty much deserverd. Hearts weren't that great, physical and effective at times, but not huge threat without Kyle. For once, the packed midfield worked well, when swanson came on, didn't do anything really, no time, space or chance to espape the hearts kicks really.

Daly was in defence, did well enough, but Dillion was very very good. Read things well, neat and tidy and stood up to physical battles well.

Midfield worked hard, but Gomis was sloppy at times, although was always available for a pass, and D Robertson got stuck in, but was never available for a pass. S Robertson looked good again.

Russell did well in general until the goals, good finishes. Goodwillie also very good, worked hard, godo touches and confident and didn't let Webster bully him, which takes a lot of doing, so very good.

Pernis was solid.

Ref was typical brines. Looked confused mostly, and then started booking players for anything after letting few challenges go. No real major decisions, although to be fair he didn't give two hearts tumbles in the penalty box any time.

Overall, satisfying.

Just watched it on BBC Fie-ur-min Sam. Not the most entertaining of games, but my thoughts:

Pernis behind everything, didn't break a sweat. 7

Watson played as well as I've ever seen him play. Distribution a lot better than usual, but his main strength is his positioning - or at least was tonight. 7

Dillon was simply fantastic. 'Nuff said. 9

Big Jon Daly didn't break a sweat either, although he was well covered. Just as well, as he's all over the place in defence more often than not. Headed everything. 6

Dixon was OK. Good going forward but positioning suspect. Likes a 'strong challenge'. 6

Scotty Robertson always shows for a pass, and is deceptively strong for someone who looks like he needs to be on a creatine and lard sandwich diet. Good tonight. 7

As has been said above, Gomis was back to about 80% of his best. One of the calmest players I've ever seen in the SPL when in possession. Seemed to be stuck out wide right in the first half, but was great when moved back inside. 8

DRobga was fairly anonymous, but not poor. Pass marks. And it might just be me, but is it unfair to expect a professional footballer to have a decent first touch? He can't trap a bag of cement sometimes. Must be they funny legs. 6

I'm much more comfortable with young Douglas Barry in midfield as opposed to defence, but despite some passable crossing, just got fouled a lot. 5

Goody. Where to start? Great again tonight, but without looking like scoring (apart from the Hollywood/Van Basten shooting). Seems to have added a wee bit of mardiness to his game - ask Webster and Black :haha: - which I love. Starting to look like a bully to go with his ability. 8

Russell was fairly good, hardly justified BBC Dotaman's MoM award, but God (and clearly Teuchters) loves a trier. Both goals well taken. 7

SUBS:

Swanson apparently came on, then disappeared. Quite a job, given he looks like he's aqcuired a taste for Fleming's famous steak and gravy pies. Needs a haircut. 4
