A quarter-final replay at Fir Park after a 2-2 at Tannadice... where have I heard that before?

Crackin game, good United performance again. [Just how long can the legs last at this rate?]

Replays of Goodrooy's goal totally ruined by Jim Shite's idiotic comments.

Although Utd tried to push forward for the win at the end you could see which team had played 3 games in a week in the last 15mins.

Will enjoy watching Goodie's goal on replay when transfer rumours are reported, at least his one went in, Drunken Duncan only hit the bar!

Seem to remember Golac pulling a tactical masterstroke by playing Petric in midfield all those years ago against Motherwell. Wonder what Houston's surprise selection be? A centre half in the middle of our defence? :D

Hopefully that's the only reason archive footage of Goodrooy will be required for on the news.

Replay is on the 29th of March which is two days after Scotland play Brazil, Hopefully Craig wont be calling up any Utd players.

http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_football.cfm?page=1176

More worrying is that Slovakia are playing Denmark and Ghana are playing England on the 29th of March so we could be without Dusan and Prince. Hopefully the date will change if this is the case.

Anyone know when the draw for the semi finals is held?

Davie Narey was immense that night.

Looking forward to another 'Welsh-type' celebration on the 29th.

It says on the SFA's facebook page the draw is at 1pm tomorrow. There will be a lot of "ors" in the draw with 8 teams involved...

As for the historical comparisons, was surprised to read that it was actually the round before the quarters that we beat Motherwell in in '94, it was Airdrie in the Quarters and we took 2 games to beat them as well, not that I recall much about those games. :conf:

In the first Airdrie game, Brewster was sent off. United had a huge support that day. 0-0 draw was fair. In the replay at Tannadice, McLaren and McKinlay scored first half goals in a 2-0 win. The East Stand was a building site. Both goals a the Shed end.

Van de Kamp got injured early in the Motherwell replay but soon recovered. True, Narey was, well typical Narey. Welshy's goal was a right foot curler in front of another huge United support.

We've deserved that for continuing to try to play a passing game despite the conditions and the occasion. Midfield looks in control with Robertson and Buaben looking in goof form.

It's a brilliant goal as well, not sure I've even seen a Utd player ever score an overhead kick?

I have absolutely no recollection of playing Airdrie in the cup that year. None. Zippo. Zilch.

Probably for the best
