Yes. Thats what I like to hear, we're 3-1 up and in the latest awkward mid-match interview with Paul Hegarty he's saying we're looking for more goals.

So what exactly constitutes a penalty award, Winter? ^o)

Rotty Scobertson our MoM in my view.

Watson is making some particularly alarming basic errors

He certainly has some artistic license in his distribution.

A win against the Dons is always sweet. Onwards and upwards. For us. Backwards and downwards for them, hopefully.

Well that was well worth staying up until 6am to watch. Better performance in the 2nd half, decent all round. :ban:

Oh, and this...

That will do just fine!

Game 1 of 5 in less than a fortnight, nicely dealt with - and let's face it, beating the Sheep is something you just never tire of seeing - lovely! :lager:

Haha! Yes, he likes to express himself with actions that make others question themselves and the deeper subject matters

Fine performance overall from United there. Bar one ludicrous goal conceded, we played some excellent, crisp and quick passes and looked likely to score throughout. We hit the post twice in addition to the goals too. Defence does look a bit shaky but remember it's largely a reserve defence with an average age of about 20 (minus Dillon): now that we have our top midfield on, it shows how much difference it can make. Scott Robertson was excellent tonight: I haven't seen that much of United this season, but that was certainly the combative skilful player I remember who has gone missing this last couple of years. Great goal from Swanson too, and I thought Goodie looked a touch of class up front too.

Top 6 is down to seven teams now, and with our games in hand v ICT and Well we should be easily in it, and breathing down Miksu's neck (actually, Peter Houston doing that is a fairly grisly image, isn't it?)

Good stuff! :banjmp:

Yes Cob, yes it is. Particularly grisly!

Can't disagree with any of that assessment though. A thoroughly enjoyable game, barring the horrorshow concession, and a well deserved three points.
Good to see Kovacevic on the bench too.

Roll on Thursday! And then Sunday! And Wednesday! And...

Not much that I can add to what's been said already, other than that Andis Shala ... did not stink the place out. High praise, I'm sure you'll all agree.

Andis. :hat:

A good game I thought aside from the obvious gift of the goal we were well deserving of the win. Diamond ... a clear red card.
I think Winters needs to check the definition of "Stone wall penalty". I am more than likely in a minority of one here, but I think Shala would be nae bad if he got a run in the team.

Shala did indeed win quite a few headers and had his best game for us.

MOM as far as I'm concerned was Scotty Robertson. Good to see him back to being the young talent we signed from the feeder club.

Oh and Clangers in the Aberdeen goal gets 9 out of 10 for entertainment value.

Good spot Reekie, had completely forgotten about big Mick, looking forward to him being our 5th Full Back to play Centre Half this season....(I know he's sort of a converted Centre Half but you know what I mean)...

Would agree with all the praise for the team, if we can continue to win important games like this while not hitting top form we'll do okay.

Oh and Jon Daly's imminent return from injury will probably limit Shala's long term chances, but he's bound to get some playing time with so many games coming up in quick succession, so hopefully he can live up to your expectations Alpha.
