And don't tell me you didn't like him when he did the Italian football on C4 years ago?
I f*cking hated him when he did Football Italia. He was never interesting or enlightening. Just because he was the first pundit to use the phrase "great technique" or show an interest in foreign football didn't make him good.
I was still hoping that Parry would be found to be racist or sexist or something to get rid of him also, and get Brackley back in.

Ray Wilkins, like Andy Gray and Rino Gattuso, is a hun.

Wilkins played 16 times for Hibs in 96-97, according to his wiki page. Why can't I remember that? Did that really happen?

Anyone stick with Marseille/Man U all the way through?

I turned it off on 70 mins when it occurred to me I couldn't care if anything did happen.

I did, but only because of the forlorn hope of a Marseille winner. What a boring piece of shit that was.

Telt ye's. I had to stick with it since I'd subbed myself out of football to sit in and watch it. Utterly boring, my heart sank at half 7 when they read out "Gibson - Fletcher - Carrick".
Watching Eto'o in the highlights somewhat made up for it, no goals but one of the most exciting forwards I've ever seen.

In my opinion since the top English teams have become so powerful it's pretty much ruined any council telly coverage of the CL for the non-Man Utd/Chelsea/Arsenal fan.

15-20 years ago an away trip to Marseille for a team like Man Utd would have been a massive challenge, now you can almost feel them sigh with boredom as they grind out another solid draw/narrow win before finishing the job at home.

I'm a fan of Italian football, so personally would have much preferred to have seen the Inter-Bayern match and since ITV lost the rights to show 2 games live the situation's got even worse...

Minor rant over... :fisted:

That's another, unsuspected, aspect to your character and charge-sheet, eggs. Animals, eh? I would not have predicted that.

Barcelona (P4 W4) currently making Arsenal look as good as we made Hamilton look a month or so ago.

Over the two legs, Arsenal got lucky with a Messi goal rule out (1st leg), a clear penalty and would've been sending off (1st leg), and another non award of a clear penalty (2nd leg), with an own goal when having no attempts on goal. 4-3 aggregate seriously flattered Arsenal. But that says more about how good Barca are. Awesome.
