According to the metro this morning, we're bringing Jordan Robertson back to cover Big Jon's injury. He's just been released from prison.

Excellent signing - he will have some valuable experience that Goodwillie can benefit from.

Could be intresting...

I think he was a decentish player before, but not spectacular. Doesn't say much about Shala though.

I thought this when I read the story. For what I've seen of Shala, for a big guy he doesn't exactly put himself around. Also, given he's a decent finisher, he's almost never in the positions to make it count. I think he'll be gone soon.

I think it says everything about Shala, actually.

Robertson looked like a decent player last time around although obviously a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then.

Perhaps he's been brought in to explain to Kovacevic how you can totally f up your life (and others) if you drive stupidly.

Shala being pish or not, we're down to three strikers right now so if the guy is available and willing to play for a relatively low sum, we should look at him.

Yeah, he's looking like he can't improve on the movement / positioning enough to be effective.

If he's just up here on trial, then if he's not quite focussed enough, then we can at least have tried. I think it was Lee Hughes who was in similar position, although a better player, and he's managed to score a lot since he's returned.

I have to say I am slightly torn on this one. Part of me feels we all deserve a second chance, but I must admit to feeling uncomfortable about the prospect of him playing for United again in view of what he did.

I think he's been brought in to teach Goodie how to handle himself in jail. The next line of how our criminals would collectively celebrate Cup victory using their combined talents has since been deleted.

Do we get him on community service or something? I'd be averse to having part of my, albeit now occasional, admission fee apportioned to paying for that lazy tosser again. Oh yeah, and the murder.

It was causing death by dangerous driving not murder , I don't imagine he set out that day to kill he was a stupid young lad who drove his expensive sports car too fast and thought that getting a good tune on his MP3 was more important than watching the road.

Given the nature of his crime I think he deserves a second chance.

That's the risk you take when you fire about the road like a superstar. The laws arent there for a joykill, they're there to prevent innocent people being mowed down by pricks like Jordan Robertson.

With all due respect, there is a difference between speeding and not looking at the road because you're changing albums on your MP3 player.

and likewise there is a difference between going out to murder someone and someone getting killed after an accident caused because you were doing something stupid while driving a car.
