Pretty damn fast
Kova speeding

Also we must paying him far too much if he is driving an audi a8, which is a bit of an old mans car in my opinion.

104 seems quite excessive...

Wonder if it'll be the uncalibarated speed camera or the chasing pararzzi that was the cause?

He won't be returning from injury very fast if that goes to court soon - 104 in a 40 could be a custodial sentence. Translator or not.

Community Service, £700 and 14 month ban

You may not be Wayne Rooney quite yet but who knows where you may go

Doesn't seem at all harsh, so guess that's one of the potential jailbirds dealt with.

Apparently, despite not being Wayne Rooney (yet), he does have a responsibility as a role model.

Makes you wonder what the sentence would have been if he wasn't a role model. No community service, no fine, and a 12 month ban..?

I think that's probably a fair sentence, certainly more than your average speeding twat would get.

Good that his availability to us is not affected and that he's not going to be a dick on the road for over a year.

What is the average sentence for 95mph in a 40mph zone?

I would have expected a fine plus a short ban or even just points on the licence, although I'm by no means an expert. 100 hours community service is quite a substantial sentence given that there was no victim in this case (luckily for Kovacevic).

I hasten to add that I'm in favour of heavy sentences for driving offences and I wouldn't argue against a harder sentence. My point was simply that in the context, as I understand it, this is towards the heavy end of what could be expected.

Fair enough. I've no idea what the average is.

He must be a pretty shit driver though, based on his excuses. Maybe he should need to take his test again.

Indeed. Quite worrying that a chap driving at 95mph can't distinguish between a road sign and a railway sign.

A foreign chap. Who is also a footballer....

Unfamiliarity with local signs + low IQ = speeding because you think you might be a train.
